Other types of shots

When there is a group of subjects, most video directors refer to the shot by the number of subjects, i.e., two-shot or three-shot. If there are more than three people in the shot it is generally just called a wide shot or long shot.

Another grouping that is commonly used is the over-the-shoulder shot (OS). This shot establishes a relationship between two characters and also enhances the depth of the shot.
